Exec, October 26, 2012

CCSGA EXEC. MINUTES
October 26, 2012
·         Welcome
·         Officer Reports
-Alysha: Pen Campaign (ask opinions about…see if there are  any “tweaks” that need to be made), Fundraiser (Both topics tabled). Constitutional Review meeting on Oct. 30th (should make changes to officer/senator positions and that Exec. Board shouldn’t meet for Allocations).
-Kara: Amanda Strickland said they presented last year, but may have not attended the workshop – may be the reason as to why the budget was not present for review this semester.
-Alex: Text box and classes were a problem for Savory nominations. There was campaigning involved. Should we only open votes/nominations to Jr’s and Sr’s? Expand it to all classes? Should be taken up with Election’s Committee.
-Caroline: A lot of good feedback from Cabinet. Momentum Scholarships. Campus would like more opportunities for activities over the weekends. 1st years and at large members felt honored for attending.
·         “We Choose Honor” Campaign
-Letter to Faculty – Friendly reminder to Faculty about nominations (Nov. 5th)
-Finalize Plague – should be purple and have on it that it’s sponsored by SGA. State the four pillars of honor
-Decide on chapel ad contact Rev. Roy: Dec. 5th should be tentative date for Chapel. Alysha will contact Rev. Roy and ask for “5 minutes” to present award and ask for chapel to be an FAS credit.
·         New Traditions
-Open forum feedback: campus wide philanthropy project, pageants, and maybe a signature event for SGA.
