Alysha Walters

Name: Alysha Walters
Age: 20
Year: 2014
Office: Vice President

Something I would like to see done vis SGA: I would love to see a more unified campus where students are more invovled with that is going on around them. I would also love to start a new tradition and it mean something.

About myself: Well, I would like to think I am fun, intelligent, and just all around awesome but that sounds bad. I do enjoy reading and listening to music as well as meeting new people. I am an RA in Mirse and I work in the library and IT. I can usually be found in the library if I am ever needed.

Alexandria Miller

Name: Alexandria Miller

Age: 21

Year: 2013

Office: Exec. Secretary

Something I would like to see done via SGA: For us to be remembered as the best entity to voice student concern and opinions and to make history as being the year's best government staff.

About myself: I'm eccentric - I like anything colorful and different. I listen to just about anything - from jazz to plain instrumentals. I love creative writing and coming up with new ideas. I love to laugh and have a good time. God is at the center of my life and I'm not ashamed to tell it. My birthday is January 30th and I accept all gifts... :)

Happy September!

I am so glad to be able to post minutes from all of the committees that met yesterday! Take a look and see what is going on with the CCSGA world!

We are one world (CCSGA) with many continents (each committee) working towards world peace!

Election Committee September 11, 2012

Attendance:

Lucille Dobson, Senior Class Secretary

Monique Manigo, Junior Class Secretary

Jennequia Brown, Sophomore Class Secretary (all present)

1st Year Class Secretary and At-Large Representatives TBA

Discussion Topics:

1. Promotion of the 1st Year Elections will take place with Nikki (Jennequia) making a model poster and having the candidates play off of that with their own flyers/posters. Have Committee hang up posters/flyers in the residence halls (sent to the RAs) and have the elections advertised to the 1st Year class through LA 100 OLs and instructors (hopefully sending out an email to Dean Budden about promotion of this).

-Opening votes for 1st Year Elections will begin at 9am on September 18th and close at 5pm on September 20th.

2. Savory Awards promoting and voting will primarily take place online through the Daily Blast (in promotion of the event) and voting will be online. Theme should be "I'm a CC girl, in a CC world" (in relation to the dolls). Have a "word jumble" as a frame for listing the characteristics of a Savory Award Winner (Lucille Dobson). This will also be promoted on the tables in the Dining Hall.

3. Student Choice Awards have ideas pending. As of now, we want to sidewalk chalk the promotion.

Announcements:

1. Candidate Speeches are on tomorrow @ 4:30pm in the Dining Hall.
2. Results of Elections will be online by September 21st
3 Next meeting is Oct. 9th
