CCSGA EXEC. MINUTES

September 7, 2012

·         Welcome

·         CCSGA Mission

·         Officer Reports

-Allocations: $2,407 in current budget for CCSGA ($847 carryover money). 1^st meeting is September 25^th.

-Elections: Candidate Speeches Thursday September 13^th @ 4:30 in the Dining Hall. Campaigning has begun.

·         Review of Calendar

-9/10-Class Meetings: Kara and Caroline hosted 1^st Year’s class meeting. Was told to leave room for positive comments as well as concerns.

-9/11-Elections, PR, & Activities Committees (should we combine or separate)

-9/13-Candidate Speeches

·         Planning for First-Year Class Meeting

·         Feedback on Senate Meeting

-More Open Forums: wait on topics to arise that are important to the campus and do an open forum (have a section open to campus, then have a section closed to Senate only)

-Let everyone know at the Senate Retreat that we’re the student’s voice and our mission is to get them to speak out about their concerns and comments of the campus

·         “We Choose Honor” Campaign Ideas

-Start at the end of the semester

-Have a plaque w/student’s names on them (year won, etc.)

-Announced during chapel and have picture taken with President of the College

-Use carryover money as spending money on expenses for the plaque

-Have only faculty and staff nominate students (Alysha will draft letter to them explaining guidelines and ideas)

o   Pen Campaign: Have SGA to implement

·         Cabinet Agenda Items

-September 17^th: Talk about Ludy Bowl, Get Nick from Resident Life to talk about the overnight guess form
